QUESTIONS
How do you fund and budget for your travels?
Curated journeys don’t require a massive inheritance; they just require a strict, simple system. I use a two-step financial approach to fund every trip:
-
The Percentage Rule: The moment my wages hit my account, a set percentage goes straight into a dedicated travel pot. It is treated like a non-negotiable bill, ensuring the travel fund is always growing in the background.
-
The Points Strategy: Absolutely every daily expense and bill is put onto a rewards credit card to accumulate travel points and cashback.
-
The Golden Rule: The card is paid off in full every single month. I never pay a penny of interest—I simply let regular daily spending fund the flights and accommodation for the next destination.
How do you choose your travel destinations?
I firmly believe the world is meant for exploring and learning, so I make it a goal to experience somewhere entirely new every single year. I don't follow specific travel trends or checklists; I'm simply drawn to places where I can discover a different way of life, see interesting buildings, and expand my own horizons. For me, every trip is an opportunity to keep learning and see a new corner of the map.
How long does it take you to plan a trip?
It depends entirely on the type of destination. I look at different trips through two completely separate lenses:
-
All-Inclusive Stays: For these, the planning is incredibly straightforward. It’s entirely about the journey there and finding the perfect hotel where I can completely unwind and relax.
-
City Stays: These require a bit more coordination. Because there is so much to see, the planning involves mapping out the logistics, researching specific excursions, and structuring the days so I get the most out of the city.
